Richard J. and Martha D. Denman Undergraduate Research Forum
Congratulations to the 2008 Denman Undergraduate Research Forum Winners!
The 13th annual Denman Undergraduate Research Forum took place on Wednesday, May
14, 2008 in the Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC), with 415
students participating in 374 projects. Students were judged by faculty,
corporate, and external judges. Thanks in part to our generous supporters, this
year the University provided $22,000 in cash awards to this year's winners. Be
sure to check out this year's winners using the link on the left-hand side of
this site!
The Denman Undergraduate Research Forum was created in 1996 and is a cooperative
effort of The Ohio State University's Honors & Scholars Center, The
Undergraduate Research Office, and The Office of Research. The Forum is an
opportunity to showcase outstanding student research and encourage all
undergraduates to participate in research as a value-added element of their
education.
The Denman Forum is named in honor of University Foundation Board emeritus and
Ohio State alumnus Richard Denman, and his wife, Martha, of Rancho Santa Fe,
California.
The Ohio State University wishes to thank 2008 corporate sponsors Eli Lilly &
Company, Procter & Gamble, Battelle, Abbott Nutrition, and The Redout
Foundation. In addition, we would like to thank the individual supporters who
make this forum a success, especially Dr. and Mrs. Gerard Boutin.
The 2009 Denman Undergraduate Research Forum will take place on Wednesday, May
13th in the Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC). Mark your calendars
now and plan to be a part of this exciting event!
